Education
Ian represents the third generation of his family to live in Hawaii. He graduated from Punahou School in 1961, Occidental College in 1965, and Northwestern University Law School in 1968. He has sponsored more than thirty seminars on medical-legal issues and has been a speaker at numerous local and mainland conferences on litigating personal injury claims. Ian was also asked to co-present at the 16th Meeting of the International Forensic Sciences.

Neurotrauma Advocate
Through our representation of clients with traumatic brain injury, Ian became involved with the Brain Injury Association of Hawaii as legal counsel. This association has added to the law firm’s knowledge of brain injury, identifying resources and understanding the needs of this population. Ian also currently serves on the State Neurotrauma Advisory Board, to which he was appointed by the director of the State of Hawaii’s Department of Health.
